About
Chris Doud has been doing the singer/songwriter thing for two decades. A good portion of this output found its way into the seminal California Americana band The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit in which he co-fronted the group with Willy Tea Taylor. Playing stages from music halls to music festivals, they have garnered a loyal fan base throughout California, across the country and abroad. Chris Doud has released 3 studio albums with the Good Luck Thrift Store fellows, 3 additional solo albums, and a children’s album with Willy Tea Taylor. You may catch him playing with the Good Luck Thrift Store boys, doing the solo folk/singer/songwriter thing, with his acoustic trio, or on occasion with the hard country band The Salvage Company.

American Music
Doud’s music is rooted in traditional folk and classic country with a mighty pinch of bluegrass and western music thrown in for good measure. He can spin musical yarns for an intimate, memorable evening of singer-songwriter storytelling, or light it up with his rowdy bandmates to give you something more akin to a Bakersfield Sound/bluegrass mash-up that always gets the revelers a-dancing. Comparisons range from John Prine to Johnny Cash, Greg Brown to Zac Brown, Merle Haggard to Mumford and Sons.
